***COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY R.D. APPLICANTS***

have any internationals been contacted for/had an interview?

I see people in this thread are not responding to each others’ questions. :persevere:

Yes @ibbi1824‌ I had one in Madrid a couple weeks ago even though I live a three hours away by car. The experience was amazing, I love talking in public and to others so I really had a blast with all my interviewers. Definitely most fun part of the application to US schools. However I have this feeling that Columbia does not have too many alumni involved with interviewing overseas. My interviewer lived 6 hours away from the place we met at!

Good luck guys!

@mrinterview‌ yeah i get the feeling that the international Columbia alumni network isn’t as strong as some other Ivies but since I live in London I thought they’d have a few interviewers around!

@ibbi1824 yeah that’s true, I just wish I could really know the true importance of interviews. People around saying they really count, others saying they don’t at all… Anyway good luck, I’m not expecting much from Columbia, where else are you applying to?

@mrinterview‌ good luck to you too! just a couple of others in the UK like UCL and Durham etc (to study Spanish actually :P)

@ibbi1824 nice! Econ major here, any other europeans around for Columbia?

Can anyone tell what their status of items on the fin aid portal is? Is it ‘packaging’ or ‘disbursement’? Both US citizems and international people tell this please.

anyone getting a mail about the notification? I just got one and I’m international.

@aliefmoulana, what do you mean by “notification”?

@nomatterwhat I am not really sure. the letter is sent to my boarding school (I’ve already graduated) and I was called by my counselor that they got the letter saying something about admission notification. I thought it was just the regular mail sent to every applicant, but I saw on another post that someone got a likely through a snail mail, though he didn’t get any e-mail or phone calls. I also just got followed by the class of 2019 account–maybe just a junk or whatever.

@aliefmoulana, sounds like good news? Keep fingers crossed. Did you check your email?

@nomatterwhat I hope so. nothing on email so far.

@BetterThanBest‌ mine says “packaging”

All of my documents say “packaging” under Required For and “received” under Status

Interviews for colleges generally have very little meaning. They are more of an information session for students to ask questions and to get to know the school.

My financial aid tracking portal has no checklist.Whatsup? anyone with a similar predicament?

@kigzcorp, did you click on “documents”?

@luv2sk8‌ i only have the “Home” tab when i login

really dont want to get my hopes up, but is the “packaging” indicative of anything admissions related…
