<p>Columbia University Waitlist Class of 2017
If anyone has any news on Columbia's waitlist situation this year. There doesn't seem to be a thread for this year.</p>
<p>I’m on the waitlist and I haven’t heard anything. I’m expecting things to come out next Friday because they like to do things around May 15 and around Friday so that makes sense (I read an older waitlist thread and that seemed to be what happened) good luck to everyone! Please post here if you do/don’t get in off the waitlist so we can figure things out!</p>

Compared to some other schools, there isn’t much talk about Columbia’s waitlist on this site. I am enrolled at NYU.</p>

<p>I enrolled in Northwestern, but Columbia has always been my favorite. Heard nothing since I turned in my supplement…</p>
<p>Hey guys! hopefully we’ll find out soon; although on their letter they claimed that we wouldn’t find out before the 15th of May anyway. How many people do you think actually ended up writing the letter restating their interest in Columbia? :)</p>
<p>Hey. Yeah I haven’t heard anything. Hopefully it’ll be soon. I am not sure how many people write that letter or how many people choose to stay on the waitlist. I have not been able to find numbers on that.</p>
<p>Hey all. Just writing because I have a friend who was taken off the waitlist today (5/13/13) and chose to enroll.
I am also waitlisted and enrolled at Georgetown.</p>

<p>I’m enrolled at UChicago but I’ve always loved Columbia, does anybody know whether they’ve released their yield numbers for this year? I can’t seem to find anything…</p>

<p>I work in a high school counseling setting and just had a student get in off the wait list yesterday. He was given until Monday to give his answer to them.</p>
<p>Does that mean we’ll see acceptances come in waves week after week?</p>
<p>Congratulations to those accepted. And I do not know how they release the acceptances. Does anyone have an idea? Do they release some now and some in the next weeks? Is it possible for some to come this week?</p>

<p>My son’s friend also heard that he got off the wait list yesterday. He’s waiting for the financial aid package before deciding.</p>
<p>Does anyone know the approximate amount of people that Columbia waitlists, and how many of those waitlistees choose to accept invitations to attend the school? Around what time can I expect to get a letter of denial if I don’t get off the waitlist? Also, I’m assuming that they contact by phone rather than email?</p>
