Which school would be best for an aspiring chemical engineer? and how is the social scene at both schools?
@favepotato Cornell has the stronger engineering department overall, but there isn’t really much of a difference for for undergrad. In fact most people choose Columbia between the two. Social scene is different. Columbia has New York, so there is less of a campus life, because it is slightly drowned out by NYC. But NYC offers so much. Cornell is rather isolated and greek life is bigger there.
Would the aspiring engineer rather live in NYC or upstate NY for the next four years?
Columbia
