I must agree, granted that I was just like you and Columbia was and still slightly is my dream school, I looked into how to prepare and get my chances up. Then, I started visiting other schools that only piqued my interest at the time and realized some of them fit me better and others not so much. The gist of my spiel is that you should look into other places while you still aren’t killed with APs and ECs. Although you seem hopeful and your GPA stands up to par with Columbia applicants, you can’t be guaranteed and sure of your chances. Just go with the flow and try doing everything that makes you happy or helps you outshine. Best wishes to you and the rest of your high school career!

Thank you. But am I on the right track ? ^

I think you are… Like we said; strengthen those EC’s and you’ll be a strong candidate. (:

i think it’s too early to tell but with with an SAT score of at least 2200, a solid GPA and some EC activities that you’re actually passionate about, you’ll have a shot. unlike most of us rising seniors, you still have time to improve your chances by working hard–nothing is set in stone. oh and write a good essay

I think you have a fair chance. I know people who are applying with 2200’s + but with less AP Classes. Maybe 11.
