<p>So my dilemma is that if I do so, then I will encounter a problem in "number of the hours per week" because I spend 2 hours in biology club weekly but 5 hours in biology olympiad prep. But I'm not sure if it's worth it to seperate these two activities on the common app because they are somehow similar activities.</p>
<p>these sound like separate activities to me. and I assume you mean these are all hours outside of school time - you don’t include class time in EC hours.</p>
<p>Honestly, if you can, somehow combine them. Colleges wont know. And it would be a waste to have them separate</p>
<p>Right, I heard from my friends that they did combine their math club activities with math problem solving last year.</p>
