<p>In highschool i was a pretty big partier but now in college i don't drink and my grades are 3.5+. I was looking at an app at the University of Florida and it asked if I have ever been on probation and had to pay a fine over 200 dollars. Ive had to do both due to getting busted for drinking a couple times :( </p>
<p>is this something that is really going to effect my application? i figured if its on UFL app i'll probably see it on the other college apps.</p>
<p>other applications are going to UMich, USC, UCLA, UNC and UT-Austin</p>
<p>If you can explain that you've changed your "evil" ways, and explain the circumstances around your arrests, that's your best hope. Right or wrong, I'm thinking that colleges will look differently at these arrests than they would at robbery, assault, etc. Good luck to you.</p>
<p>Im sure they understand that older kids drink and sometimes get caught. At least if it was my decision I wouldn't hold it against you...</p>
