I plan on applying to the comm school. I got AP credit for Math 1310, but does this satisfy the prerequisite, "Probability or Calculus: MATH 1110, MATH 1210, OR higher level," listed on the following page:

If my AP credit for MATH 1310 doesn't fulfill this prerequisite, should I take MATH 1320 or some other probability class? Also, is taking Econ 2010 first semester going to be difficult?

Cool, so I don’t have to take a math class before I apply? Should I take MATH 1320 for the rigor aspect, since the page mentions that they look for you to take a difficult courseload?

As far as Econ, why do most people recommend that you not take it until your second year?

You can take a higher level math if you have an interest in it, otherwise it isn’t necessary. Take courses you have an interest in that have rigor. They just don’t want to see 1000 level courses over 4 semesters.

As far as economics most students take at least one economics class their first year if not both.
