I have a few clubs that I’ve been doing for three years each and have good officer positions in; however, they don’t relate to my major at all. Should I bother putting them or no?
You list what you want the AdComm to know about; if it’s part of the “story” you wish to tell with your app. If you have other things that are more important, and you don’t want those to be diluted with a list of minor clubs, then don’t list them. Again, it’s how YOU want to show who you are/what you’re interested in, etc.
Relating to your major is immaterial. Lots of students list athletic or music activities even when they are planning to major in biology or computer science. It shows something they like to spend time on outside of their pure academic interests.
List them.
You want to show why you’re different than anyone else with the same intended major and test scores. They wont hold it against you if your ECs don’t match your major. A substantial percentage of students change their intended major after going to college.
