Hey guys! I have a question about the Common App awards section, what types of awards should be put there? It specifies ‘academic’, so I just put stuff like High Honor Roll for grade 9,10, etc. What do people typically put? Can awards from EC’s be listed there, or recognition from things that aren’t part of your school? The ‘academic’ part of the description is what has me confused.

Yes, honor roll would go there. Awards from ECs are typically listed with their respective EC in the activities section.
Sorry to put another question on this thread (this is my first time posting), but I have another question: does each award have to be in a separate entry? I have academic awards that are outside of my extra-curricular activities (e.g. Winner of Science Essay Competition; Certificate in Psychology; Semi-finalist in Speech Competition) but I don’t think there will be space to put them in individual entries. Could I just title the entry “Awards” and list all my awards there? Thanks so much
