<p>Does it say downloaded on 01/01/2010? That might just mean when the college downloaded your application to their database or something.</p>
<p>submit or downloaded? Becuz i sumbitted on 31/12 but they put downloaded on 01/01. In any case u shud know whether u submitted before midnight, did u?</p>
<p>i did… midnight my time. is it midnight their time (the due date I mean)? And it says submitted 01/01/2010 not downloaded… don’t know what to do.</p>

<p>I know it’s not the same (they are two hours ahead). I was just asking because I wasn’t sure if the common app is due their time or my time.

<p>I think Commonapp is just being screwy. I definitely submitted my UPenn and Brown apps at like 1 am Jan 1 EST, and then today it says on my account that the apps were “downloaded” Jan 2. So I hope that doesn’t mean that I submitted my apps late, even though they were on time…</p>

<p>for me the downloaded date is always the day after submission. i submitted four early action applications on the deadlines and it said submitted the following day. i got in all four.</p>
<p>Submitted means you’ve turned it in. Downloaded means they’ve taken it off common app and put it into your official admissions file for adcoms to read.</p>
<p>downloaded January 2 means that they accepted your application. it is not late.</p>
<p>the deadline was midnight EST. maybe they’ll grant a grace period.</p>
<p>Submitted means you hitting the button; downloaded means that the school’s system has downloaded your app from the common app website.
If you go to the supplements page, you can see the date that you submitted your supplement… Assuming that’s the same as the rest of your app, that should help get rid of any concerns. (:</p>
