My DD got an email this evening from the Common App with the following subject: Action Needed: Complete Submission Process. The letter says she has paid for one or more college applications and needs to hit the submit button. However, we have green check marks for all of the colleges she applied to. Anyone else get this? Any ideas what we should do?

fdid she complete the execute signature page and check the four boxes? did she go back and subnit the college’s supplement? if not then be sure to dothose ssteps. good luck.

All steps were completed and she has all the green check marks. We have no idea why she would receive this email. I will try to contact the Common App people tomorrow.

My D got the same e-mail - she has 10 applications with the green check mark next to each submitted label. We have confirmation that all 10 received the app, so I do not know what this message is about.

The CA site is not reliable. They have the issue on “green check mark” previously that may still be on the unresolved issue list. You can only trust the school’s portal. Make sure you have received the CA confirmation e-mail though. Also note the time stamp on your CA My College for each applied school. That would be one of the proof you have submitted on time. Many people have trouble in the signature step which is required to complete the submission procedure and yet the applications were downloaded by the schools in many cases. My D even has the green check mark on everything and correct time stamp and yet one supplement got lost in transmission and received no confirmation. We have to follow up with the school to fix the issue directly. CA has been helpless in issues like that.
