While reviewing my common app (for the 100th time) after submission, I actually saw that I made 1 error in the academics section. In essence, I selected the wrong subject test; I selected the English language subject test rather than the English literature.... Anyways, I'm extremely worried and ****ed about this error and don't know if I should email or call each school about this mistake. I can't resend the applications and the deadline has already passed Any advice? (especially from anyone who has made such an error before). Thanks

Do you mean the AP test rather than the subject test? There is only an English Literature subject test, not an english language. Even if you had made such a mistake, colleges get your official score reports from collegeboard, so you should be fine.

You can try emailing the school about this problem.

Cirroalex:
I chose the English language proficiency test, rather than literature. It’s such a dumb mistake… and most of the colleges I’m applying to only look at the official grades(SAT,ACT,Transcripts, etc) anyways. I was just worried that it may cause some confusion - and i wouldn’t want that.

I may end up emailing them, but I’m going to speak with my guidance counselor first.

Thanks for the Replies
