I want to add a title to my essay, I think it adds something, but it looks stupid sitting there on top of my essay with the Common App formatting. Should I start it off with ‘“Title,” by mac2020,’ or should I just put ‘Title’? Or is it not even worth it?
Can you add spaces to move it to the center? I like seeing titles on some of the drafts I read. Not always. But. if it’s well chosen, I think it can add something. That’s just an opinion from a volunteer reader – not someone who actually knows what the admissions folks are looking for.
@AboutTheSame the spaces don’t show up when you save and click on “Preview.”
Darn. Maybe just put a blank line below. If it’s in capital letters, it should be obvious what its role is.
Do you have the words to spare? Words that wouldn’t be better spent in the body of your essay?
@bjkmom Plenty of words, and my title is only 1
