For the part that says "language primarily spoken at home" i thought it meant the language that I primarily spoke at home, not in general, so I put English. However, I later learned it meant in general so then it would be Mandarin Chinese

I don't THINK it's that big of a deal, but am still a little nervous....should I not worry about it? I applied SCEA to Stanford so i submitted my app a while ago

Thanks!

it’s on the demographics page near the top on the common app

i put english, but should’ve put chinese

ya but I’m confused about your generally vs primarily. is there a difference between generally and primarily? they’re asking about the language you speak at home, to your parents, not at school or anything like that. I’m obviously not thinking in the same stream as you.

It doesn’t matter. I imagine the admission’s office would just be annoyed that you contacted them. They are probably really busy right now. I think you’re only supposed to contact them if you spelled your name wrong or put the wrong address or something.

Wrong language, especially since you obviously speak both fluently, doesn’t really merit contacting them.

Haha ok sounds good

i think i’m confusing myself/overthinking as usual
i need to stop rereading my common app esp. since I already submitted it :P

I’ve refused to reread mine. And I’ve refused to let my parents/friends see it because then they’ll all comment, and then I’ll be forced to look at it again. Which would not be okay with me. I know there’s stuff that I’ll want to change.

Yeah i kinda looked at my activity statement and went ■■■ haha
