Common App Online and Williams=Confusion

Okay, I am seriously confuzzled about how to fill out the common app online. I really would like to fill out the application by hand because it is so much easier (supplement, peer eval, etc can all be handed in together). However, I am going to use a fee waiver and the following is written in the website:

Students submitting applications electronically have three payment options: credit card, debit card, or fee waiver. Personal checks are not accepted. Students wishing to pay by check must submit hard copy of the Supplement and the application by mail. All students submitting a hard copy of the Common Application and Williams Supplement must pay by check.

So does this mean I will have to pay by check if I send it by snail mail? Or can I still use my fee waiver? For those that attend/will be attending, what did you do? ANY AND ALL HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Priceless,

I wouldn't worry to much about the payment. You can just send them the fee waiver through the mail. Send it return receipt. I'm sure that they'll accept.

That said, you should e-mail the admissions office (anonymously), and let them know that what they've written on their website is not perfectly clear.

Good luck

I don't understand what this means?? Thanks for your help though!

When you mail a letter at the post office, you can send the letter return receipt. This means that when the letter arrives at the admissions office, someone at the admissions office will have to sign for the letter. The letter on which the recipient placedf his or her signature is then mailed back to you. Using return receipt through the USPS ensures that you know that the admissions office received what you sent them. If Williams claims that they never received item X, you can always say that "Person Y at the admissions office signed for the piece of mail."

Oh, thanks! I never usually mail things, but now I know and that sounds like a very good idea!
