Common App QUESTION

I understand that after you submit the common app to a school, you cannot edit it for that school.

If you want however, before submitting it to other schools, can you then edit it?

I ask becuase I did not sumbit SAT scores to some schools, and want to make sure I can change that before submitting it to the new schools. You dig?

yeah, i am in the same situation. i was told by CC posters that once you start the submission process, you go to a page where you check the schools you want to submit the app to and submit them. then you go back, edit the app, and go to submit again and check the colleges you want to submit the edited app for.
on a tangent, how long was your short statement for the ECs. did you go over the 150 word limit, but i don't know how to cut it down, any help?

I need help... submitting tonight

Elizabeth-

Yes, I broke it down to 150.

An admissions counselor from Wash U st. Louis said sometimes, if you go over, the common app cuts off the essay. Unfortunatly mine was 250 words (geared to Stanfords word limit)... I cut it down, but it is not nearly as good.

But what can they expect in only 150 words?

Hope that helps... I am going to take your word for the submission thing

it cuts off the essay!!!! but it lets me input the 300

Don't kill the messenger... hehe

She said just to make sure if it was long, put additonal words in additional info section... but I dont know about other schools

Can I get anymore help on initial question?

When you click the submit button, it will show each of your colleges on your college list and beside each one, there will be checkmarks. Check one of them to send it to a certain college. After that, you can go back to your application and make the needed changes and repeat.

Thanks Jessy...
