<p>Can we change the essay submitted to common app for ED? I mean if I choose to write about an experience for this college that I am applying for ED, can I revise the essay and write about a different experience or modify the essay to submit to other colleges in RD. Also is is possible to save multiple versions of essays or answers to questions like the one on EC? I think I need this to customize my application to the specific programs at different colleges?</p>

You can go in and change your application, then decide which schools to apply to at any given time.</p>

<p>THank you. It only seems logical that different versions should be allowed. People might be interested in one program at one school but a totally opposite program at another university. A single essay cannot address both. Thanks for the discussion.</p>

<p>this is from common app: “Note: Your Common Application essay should be the same for all colleges. Do not customize it in any way for individual colleges. Colleges that want customized essay responses will ask for them on a supplement form.”</p>
<p>@itsme123: Just because common app discourages it doesn’t mean that it can’t be done. 
You can, in fact, send different essays to different schools if you wish, by making an alternate version. Here is a post telling you how to do so:</p>
