I’m filling out the current courses I’m taking this year. One of the class is AP Economics, which is AP Macro and Micro. I’m wondering if I should list AP Economics as 1 year or split the courses and write AP Macro for 1 sem and AP Micro for 1 sem. Same goes for AP Physics C, should I write the Mech and E & M as separate courses?
Bump
If it were me, I would enter the Econ as two separate semester (or 2 quarter) classes. If physics is technically two separate courses, I would do the same.
I would write the courses on your application as they will appear on your HS transcript. If you are unsure how they will show up (as a one year course or two one semester courses) check with your guidance counselor.
@happy1 I know how the courses will show up. The AP macro and micro just shows up as “AP Economics” on the transcript, but technically it is just 1 semester of macro and 1 semester of micro. For physics, it literally just shows up as “AP Physics”, doesn’t even have the C part which is what I’m taking. So I thought it would be better to clarify the classes. Do you think it’s fine to split it up the classes as semester each?
I would write it the way it is on your transcript. But it is your application and your choice.
