did anyone check out UC on the common app? It gives out 3 choices under the future plans tab: restricted EA, RD, and EA juniors.
I wanted to apply EA, but i thought chicago was non-restrictive. am I reading this wrong, or did common app make a mistake?
or worst case, chicago changed their policy?

I doubt Chicago changed its policy. Probably a Common App mistake.

What is EA Juniors?

The UC website does not mention anything about being restrictive EA. However, it is very early for the 2009 admissions, so who knows what is happening. Call the admissions office and ask to get it directly from someone there. Call again before sending out the app.

The brand-new admissions website reiterates that Chicago's EA is non-restrictive.

University of Chicago College Admissions | First Year Applicants

Off-topic, but the new website looks really nice. I'm impressed.

Yea it's really spiffy.
I found myself reading tons of things.
80 days left 'till O-Week!!!!

It's very "mit-ish"

thanks all, i just checked common app again, and they changed restricted EA to EA. Whew!!
