Common App: Sec. School Report/Final Report

What's the difference between a secondary school report and a final report?

Am I crazy or are the two reports exactly the same thing? If they are equal, then why am I required to submit a secondary school report and a final report?

well you need to send both if you don't have your actual final results of std. 12th examinations when you are filling the sr. secondary school report.
you must have noticed that the sr. secondary school report has a column for predicted results there. if you use those you have to send the final results later when they become available,

if you already have your final marks for 12th grade, just put in those in the sr. secondary school report actual results column and attach the transcript too.
hope this helps :)

I didn't fully understand .. I already graduated from high school, I should only send the school report then? Or just the final report?

well as i said - if you have results for your last year in school- just send the senior secondary report with the transcript for your final results.
also send the international suuplement to the senior secondary report

hehe, thanks, I got it

By the way you might as well check this with the colleges you are applying to. Logically you should only need to submit the School Report as you have already graduated, but some colleges can be weird about these things. For example, I was in a similar situation to yours last year, and I asked Williams if they would need the mid-year report even though I had already graduated, and they said yes! Though as I ended up not applying there I never found out what exactly they needed it for.

Why would a college need your mid year report if you're submitting your school report? That's definitely weird. Thanks for the advice.

How about the students who didn't graduate but are in the middle of their senior year? What do we send? Mid-year report would be like first-semester grade report? (as it comes our late december?) And final report... do we send this when we enroll to a college and graduate high school or do we send our junior year report?
I am getting confused about this...

well you send your mid year report whenevr you get it(most colleges make an exception for this - but do check up with each) and then if you get admitted you have to show your actual results.
for internationals- you have to send your predicted final results too.

thank you! :)

so if final report is of 12th grade then what sec. report is of…is it 11th grade’s or 10th?

i have a question too. what if you’ve been to different high schools? does each high school have to send a school report?
