<p>Can someone please read/critique my response to the short answer question (Please elaborate on...). It is 148 words currently.</p>
<p>Jumping into a chilly pool at 5:00 in the morning or driving an hour before sunrise to a pool for a swim meet only gives a hint at what swimming is about. I have been swimming year-round for eight years and I believe swimming has taught me many valuable lessons in and out of the pool. I learned time management when I had to juggle swimming three hours a day with academics. I learned commitment when I had to reject invitations to parties or friends houses because of swim meets. But maybe most importantly, I learned how to set goals for myself, whether for swimming or for other activities. Getting all As in my freshman year at high school was probably as important as the time I broke one minute in the 100 yard butterfly. Setting goals has allowed me to accomplish things I never thought I could.</p>
