I submitted my common application supplement 1 minute and 22 seconds late, but I submitted the main application on time. I got an email from Penn saying that UPenn apparently only requires that the supplement be submitted on time. Am I now an auto-reject applicant? Or have freshmen/transfers ever gotten in if they’v submitted the supplement just a few minutes late via CA?
I checked my Penn portal and it said that it has my Common App but it does not have my writing supplement.
I’ve seen other threads on this issue, but I was wondering if Penn specifically gives some leeway for the situation.
I doubt that they would penalize you for turning it in one minute late (especially considering the variety of factors that are all out of your control, but could have caused a minor delay such as that one).
If you’re really worried, you can call Penn Admissions (I would not recommend that you wait a few days, just to allow them to process everything), and they should be able to alleviate or justify your fears.
It’s most likely nothing to worry about.
If you got your portal password links today (Mar 16), you should be fine…
my application was 2 hours late. am i an autoreject? will they even look at my application?
