Common App... Which situation is best to expand upon?

Okay, so the 2nd prompt is

"Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn?"
My idea was to write about a time I got revenge on a girl because I held a grudge against her and I ultimately learned that it was wrong of me to do that.

OR

Prompt 5: "Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family."
I was thinking about writing about when my dad left the house and how my mom, sister, and I were to adjust and get used to not having him around anymore.

OR
Prompt 3: Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you?
I would write about school and how it feels like home to me, although most people hate it.

Which one would pose as a more interesting essay?

I think the prompt 5 one sounds like the one i would personally want to read most. Many people have broken families, so it is relatable, but as long as you clearly mark how you grew up because of that it would show your character to the reader.

Think about what you want the reader to learn about you, personally, from the essay. The 2nd prompt may show you learning from mistakes; the third one, your interest in school and more about what you like; and the fifth one, how you grew up and how it influenced who you are now. All three can have substantial merit if written well, so just think about which one you personally feel you could write and describe yourself best and go with that! I would just be most interested in the 5th  good luck!

Same. Prompt 5 has a lot of room for real emotions and expansion. Get started early, so you have time to grow.
