common application as an international student

Hey guys,

i'm really confused about this.

1st: as an international student - how am I or my principal supposed to fill out the school forms. i hadn't heard about such things as APs or IBs until i had a look at the forms online. I guess my principal hadn't either. In my country there are only 2 levels of courses: normal ones and some kind of advanced classes (more intensive, more demanding and kind of wheighted courses; each student must choose 2 of those)

and 2nd: i graduated this spring. i'm not in school anymore. so i don't think it makes sense to send any mid year report at all, right? is there any opportunity to indicate this in the common application forms? i've come across one to state that one has had an interruption in one's education but that's all. okay, i'm having an interruption to say so, but marking that statement doesn't change anything. the site still says my mid year report was required. so... what am i to do?

I'd be really happy if anybody could help me with this. really really happy : )

Anybody??? Same doubts here

well im an international too.

AP=Advanced Placement
IB=International Baccalaureate
these are some tough courses offered along with the regular courses and they are optional.

well my school doesnt offer these as well.
since we are internationals the colleges will understand our situation quite well. ask your principal to provide a school profile and write a report on the courses offered in your school and the rigor of the courses. the college adcoms will definitely consider these.

if your are out of high school now, it makes no sense to send the mid-year reports. its for them who are currently in high school. and the college wants to keep themselves updated of the students performance as their transcript is incomplete. however you will submit a complete transcript. no problem for you.

hope you are now “really really happy”

and welcome to college confidential guys.

Um, another international student concern: is there any way to send the international supplement online?
