<p>Do all private schools accept the common application? I'm applying to a private Christian college and they have an application online. What one should I use?</p>

<p>There are plenty of private schools that don’t take the Common App. You may want to check the common app member list (find it on their website) and then dig around your school’s application page to see if they take the Common App as a substitute, etc.</p>

<p>The common app isn’t for all schools, it’s just an easy application for schools that choose to participate in it. For this reason most of them do use it, but some don’t. Check your school’s website.</p>

<p>Not even all public schools use the common app, but most if not all the major competitive schools–Ivy League schools, the major state schools, easy to get into schools, and schools just about everywhere in-between. It doesn’t cost money to open an online account with the common app and fill it out, but to send it to colleges. Keep a running tab of what schools you’re thinking about applying to, and when you’re ready to start applying, open up an account and search from the list. Please open it if not the August before you start school, sometime in the first week. The application doesn’t take all too long, but depending on what the prompts are when you apply, it could take weeks to craft and perfect. Many schools also require you to write essays in addition to the one you have on the common app, which may take a while. They’ll show up on your account though and you can send them in through it.</p>

Put in short, AdmitSee grants you access to a college consultant’s file cabinets. You should definitely check it out! There is a lot of useful information on the profiles such as SAT/ACT scores, essays, extracurricular activities, advice, etc.</p>
