Has anyone received confirmation from a ranked college that their common application has been received and is being considered for regular decision? Not sure if this is just a general e-mail generated automatically when the receive the common app, or if it's indicating that they did not match and are forwarding the application to their regular decision.

No one else? I’m guessing this might not be a good sign.

I got one from Stanford.

I got one from Stanford and USC.

Do you think it’s routine and no decision on matching has been made, or do you think it means that there was no match and it’s been forwarded for regular decision?

I guess it would depend when you got the email?
Did you get it right after the submission or within the next few business days?
Or did you get it now?

Now…

Don’t stress it guys, that just means they got your app. I got one from usc, and stanford, one and two days after submitting my application subsequently, and one from pomona a bit after the finalist notification.

As long as you submitted all the other papers as they were supposed to, the real message will be unveiled on Dec 2nd. Good luck to all!

I haven’t received one from Northwestern or USC.
