So I applied to georgia tech on 3rd January and to Stanford on 2nd January. My freind applied to these universities just one day before me. He has received a confirmation email 4 days ago but I still haven’t. Do you think there is some problem with my application and can anyone please suggest me something I can do. I am really freaking out.Any help will be appreciated.
Relax. These colleges have a ton of applications to process, and it may take time for them to confirm that they have yours. Give it at least one or two more weeks before you attempt to contact them.
Don’t worry. I didn’t even get an email from two places out of nine that I applied to, and the one place just accepted me. Funny, right? 
Let it sit for a while. If you get really worked up, you can send them something in a week or so.

Did you apply using the common app? If so, did you get the confirmation email that the common app was submitted? If so, no worries.
If not, go back and make sure you hit the final submit button. The common app will take you to the payment screens, and send a “payment received” receipt, but there is another step to “submit” the application.
I got the email from common app saying that the application has been sent. However, I did not get the email from the colleges saying that it has been received.
Look in the individual detail page for that college in the CA portal. Under com app section (very top, I think) it will say “downloaded” if the app was downloaded by the college and what date it was. If it was downloaded, then they got it.
