Common Apps - Why are they asking for my parents' birth countries?

<p>To be Common App has become a racial app. I really hate to answer any ethnic qns in the app. To me, ethnic profiling makes the system so weak. There should not be a quota system. If they want to entertain African American applicant pool, they jhave already formulated HBCU in USA. Why do colleges keep encouraging the URM and discouraging ORM. I hope someone files a class action law suit. The most impacted communities are Asian Indian and Asian Chinese. They are so unlucky.</p>
