CommonApp won't let me change to waive my rights...what do i do

i haven't asked my teachers my recommendation...but last night while i was trying to figure out the common app i came across this option about whether i want to waive my rights or not...at first i just selected not to waive..but now that i think about it i want to waive them in order to make sure my recs are the most honest....but common app won't let me do this....what do i do?

Hmmm. Maybe some more people will weigh in with opinions, but I think you may have to start over. Read through the instructions and see if you can open a new account. I know you can’t create a new version until you’ve submitted once already, but it sounds like you haven’t done much yet. I don’t think I’ve been much help. Anyone else?

I’m pretty sure that you are not able to change it. However, you could start over with a new commonapp account and copy-paste everything over. It would be tedious depending on how far you’ve gotten, but it would get the job done. Good luck. Someone correct me if I’m wrong!

I suggest contacting common application contact center. There’s a link on right top of the home page.

^Commonapp support is useless. I emailed them when my teacher accidentally pressed “dont submit online” on november 29th (for an app due dec 1st) and they still havnt replied. I ended up not including her req.
