This is a degree offered at OU. It's a prep type for audiology or speech-language pathology.

What's y'all's opinion?

It looks interesting to me and speech lang pathology as well.

its a good field to get into, lots of jobs available. It’s not my major but there is a similar program at my University and i know a few people in the program, they seem to really enjoy it.

As the previous poster indicated, it’s a good field with lots of job opportunities. A master’s degree is required for certification for clinical practice in speech & language pathology, and I believe, a doctorate is required for audiology. Job opportunities exist in hospitals, rehab centers, developmental disabilities agencies, schools, and private practice/consulting. There also seems to be more interest in this major among students who do not plan to become speech-language pathologists, but who do have an interest in psychology, neuroscience, and medicine; in those cases it is sometimes taken as a minor or double major.

Sometimes I dislike the people on this forum. Share your opinions and thoughts, not something anyone cam find on a website.

can not cam*

believe it or not some people are incapable of finding such information, plus it is also helpful for not only you the original poster but for anyone else who might stumble apon this thread. I though zapfino and my posts were helpful and at the very least not worthy of dislike. If you have an issue with people on this forum either (1) don’t use this forum, (2) explicitly state that you would like opinions and not facts/research in your original question or (3) get over yourself.

Cheers

Not gonna quit using a forum because of a few bad posters. I was talking about zapfino, not you. Do we really want people in college who can’t find the most basic information on a subject? I feel sorry for them when they get to their first research based paper!

No we don’t need people in college like that, and most people like that won’t graduate with a college degree. But that doesn’t mean they don’t exisist. I feel sorry for you, seems very unnecessary to say you dislike people for trying to help you. Whether or not you found it helpful has nothing to do with it. Respect is a quality i value more than resourcefulness, I don’t want disrespectful people in college either.

Boohoo

If he would post an original idea ever I wouldn’t have said anything! Respect is earned not handed out like candy. I feel sorry for you, you won’t get far in life coddling everyone!
