I’m a communications major and trying to decide what minor would be most beneficial, not just for career but also if I decide to go to graduate school and get my masters later on. I was thinking of doing a social media minor since I know that would be beneficial for certain jobs. But in case I’m not doing well in that I want to able to get my masters to improve my options. I was thinking of management information systems or marketing. What minor would benefit me the most in the long run?
You don’t need a minor at all. Minors don’t necessarily help you get into graduate school or help you with a career. It depends on the minor you pick and what classes you take as part of it.
Social media minors are pretty uncommon.
Either MIS or marketing can be useful depending on what you want to do.
I think that a minor in something to do with business would be good because it can give your education a more practical side.
