<p>Hey does anybody know about this major. Is it more theory based? Bc I don't really want that.... I want it more based for a career in media (movie, tv, and radio).</p>

<p>Most all UC educations are theory based dude. If you want more of a practical, hands on education go to a cal state school.</p>
<p>I know, but UCLA's program has a specialization in mass media and that is what I'm looking for. But I want some alternatives and I love UCSB, so I really hope their program allows for specialization.</p>
<p>On UCSB's website it talks about media, but it isn't really clear if you have to take all types of communication or you can specialize in which ever one interests you the most.</p>
