I'm currently taking classes at a community college over the summer just to fulfill some general ed. reqs...but does it matter what grades i get in these classes if i apply to med school? I know that these courses won't transfer into my official undergrad GPA, only the college credits will. is there a section on the med school app that makes you calculate the GPA of summer courses?

Yes. (10 char)

It will not be in the GPA but the grade will still be there.

Wrong. It will most certainly be included in your AMCAS GPA.

Remember: Medical schools don't care what your school thinks your GPA is. They have their own ways of calculating.
