Community College to 4 Year College

Hi! I'm currently a 24-year-old student finishing up my Associates in Economics at a community college. I had to drop out of college abruptly a few years ago, but wasnt allowed to withdraw, which resulted in some harsh grades. Ive worked my way back up a bit, but it looks like I'm not going to graduate with anything more than a 3.0, 3.2 if I'm lucky.

I'm looking to transfer in-state to the University of Oklahoma, who's college of business requires a 2.5 gpa minimum. I took the ACT but don't think i did too amazing on it (early-mid 20s my junior year), but ive heard that really doesn't matter for transfer students.

What do you guys think my chances are? and is there anything I can do to improve my chances?? Thanks in advance.

Pick up the phone and call the U of O transfer admissions office. Ask them what you need to do in order to be admitted. It is possible that your CC and the U of O have a formal articulation agreement which would guarantee your admission. If not, since you are coming from an in-state CC, the transfer admissions office should be able to tell you exactly what you need to do.

Wishing you all the best.
