Has anyone ever heard of a transfer student from a community college transferring to Columbia, no their GS school. If so do you know what their stats were like?

I had a friend who was accepted to Columbia College from a California Community College. (She ended up going to UC Berkeley instead.) I believe she had 4.0 from 2 years at community college, was part of the honors program on her campus, and was an officer in several clubs. She may also have done some volunteer work and been working at her parent’s law office.

I believe she also did quite well in high school – not sure what her HS stats were exactly, but I think she had a 4.0 or very close to it, but not a ton of extracurriculars. Therefore she didn’t get into her top choice schools out of high school and decided to attend community college in order to transfer.

(Keep in mind that if you take time off between going to high school and community college, you have to apply to GS though.)
