Community college to four year university tranfer

I'm currently a senior in highschool and I've already began to receive decision letters from schools I applied to. I'm an international student, Japanese parents living in South America, and speak four languages fluently. I have participated in two volunteer organizations and have had short stories and poems published in newspapers and magazines. However, since I slacked during my junior and senior of high school, my GPA is extremely low and most of my top choice schools have already rejected me; which is why I'm considering Community College for a year then transferring to a four year university like NYU, UPENN, etc.
My GPA is 2.5.
My SAT IS 1850.
I'm certain that if I give my studies in college the seriousness I neglected my high school studies I'll be able to maintain a high GPA.

Is this possible? I am sure it has been done before, however I'm wondering if it's feasible with my stats.

Thanks!

It’s absolutely feasible. But with community college, you’re largely on your own to find internships, take the right courses for your major, etc. I know someone who dropped out of high school, went to community college, and transferred to an Ivy League school. But he had stellar letters of recommendation and extracurriculars.
