<p>Good plan? Realistically speaking, just how difficult is it? How good do my grades have to be at Community College? If I meet all the IGETC requirements and have A's and B's should I be fine? I will do community service and stuff too. I am leaning towards a future career in something like psychology. If I am motivated can I make it? For specific colleges I planing on going to San Diego Mesa College (or City) and transfering to either UCLA, Santa Cruz, or Berkeley after two years of studying my *** off. Any advice? Words of Wisdom?</p>

<p>Each UC (excluding Cal and UCLA) has a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, and they each outline their specific standards on how to get in on a TAG. I’d recommend making an advising appointment with a college counselor to find out the details on the schools you are interested in. Also, keep in mind that even if you cannot get a TAG, that doesn’t mean you can’t get in. It just means you are not GUARANTEED admission.</p>

<p>As for advice, start going to the transfer center before you even start classes your 1st year to understand what you should take, when you apply, etc. Get to know some like-minded people for support and encouragement. Take advantage of any tutoring opportunities, join some clubs. Thousands succeed in getting into UC from CC schools every year, and you can too!</p>
