I graduated from a community college two years ago, now I want to attend a university. The problem is that I graduated with a low gpa of 2.57. I know it's low, but after reading some posts from other sites, I am afraid it may be an issue when I apply to a university. I won't be trying to apply to any "prestigious" university, I want to apply to CSU Sacramento, which according to one site I visited, has a 71% acceptance rate. I am considered an out of area student, so my gpa is recommended to be a bit higher than the minimum 2.0, which is worrisome given my low gpa.

I just want some advice as to whether or not a low gpa of 2.57 is enough to get accepted into a California state university. I never took the SAT or any other test, I went to a community college directly out of high school.

Any advice, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I just realized that this may not be the best category in which to post this, but I don't see a delete button.
