Question about transfering to a CSU from Community College

Hello everyone. Im a current history major at a California community college and I have a few questions about the transferring to a CSU process (fall 2015). Right now im on course to my general ED completion (this semester) and I have my AA finale classes planned out for spring of 2015. The application process for CSUS is about to come up of which im going to apply to 5
chico state
san jose
san fransisco
sonoma
and lastly Sacramento.
Right now i have a 2.9 GPA (hovering at that 3), had a high school GPA of about 3.3 and a pretty average SAT, should i apply for fall of 2015 now with my current grades OR should i just wait a couple of semesters until my GPA is alot more impressive?

reasonably how good are my chances for applying

the SAT score is no longer a factor now that you will apply as a transfer. You can stay for a few more semesters but don’t forget about the maximum amounts of units you are allowed to take

would my GPA make it difficult to get into atleast 1 of the five schools? or would i be completely wasting my time and effort even trying to transfer as an upper divsion

also im only a 60 units student atm

I say just give it a shot there is nothing wrong with trying. The high school grade is no longer important too so you will be applying with a 2.9 GPA and your major GPA. I don’t know much about CSU since my interests are UCSD and UCR so I only know about UC’s. Aside from the general ed make sure you will have completed classes for the major you are applying. EVERY SCHOOL HAS DIFFERENT REQUIRED COURSES REGARDLESS OF THE SAME MAJOR. Your chances will increase if they are completed
