well long story short, i want to major in aerospace engineering then apply to med school… i have been interested in engineering for as long as i can remember, and in high school i got interested in medicine also,
i go to community college in CA. i still have a long way to go and i really need advice. people tell me im biting off more than i can chew but i was thinking, even if i change my major to biology i still need to take almost the same classes for engineering as well. so it turns out i can fit it in my schedule to take my engineering classes and couple extra bio classes. just wondering if anyone has experience and words of wisdom maybe
Why are people saying you’re biting off more than you can chew? Are you good at the core classes required for aerospace majors? That means a lot of physics and calculus/complicated algebra.
I’m sorry, but you ARE biting off more than you can chew. There are not enough electives available in an Aerospace Engineering degree to allow you to take all the prerequisite courses for medical school. If you want to pursue an Engineering degree, fine, then you should do so. Just realize that if you then decide to apply to medical school, you will undoubtedly still have to take some prerequisite courses.
