Community College Transfer- Chance Me Please.

<p>I was wondering if I could get opinions on what my chances are as a community college transfer for Fall 2011.</p>

<p>Here are my stats:</p>

<p>Race/Gender: Caucasian/Female
Major: Public Health &/or Health Promotion- but also willing to mold my major to get into a good school, I have tons of science courses under my belt so a BS in Biology would also be possible
College GPA: 3.92/4.0
Hours after 1st year: 51 credits</p>

<p>High School GPA: 3.53/4.0 - graduated 1 year early
SAT: never took- I think this may hurt me...
Rank: school did not rank</p>

<p>Extra-Curriculars:
College Honors Program Student (going to be completing whole program)
Member of Phi Theta Kappa
-Chapter officer for Phi Theta Kappa
-Regional officer for Phi Theta Kappa
Club spokesperson for Pre-Pharmacy Club
Member of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Program
Weekly Mayo Clinic Volunteer (In-Patient Pharmacy)
Weekly Hospice Volunteer
Volunteer in younger brother’s classroom (Teacher’s assistant)</p>

<p>Awards:
Numerous scholarships and state grants
Dean’s List (Every semester)
Outstanding First Year Honor Student 2009-2010</p>

<p>Hooks:
(not quite sure this a hook) Come from single parent household, 1 income <20k/yr
Early high school graduate (1 year before graduating class)
First generation college student</p>

<p>Applying for transfer admissions to:
Johns Hopkins
Tulane
Cornell
BYU- Provo
University of Minnesota
University of Arizona
Purdue
...potentially others?</p>

<p>Any thoughts?</p>

<p>looks good. with solid essays i can see any of these happening, with hopkins and cornell being the hardest of these to get into. make sure you research cornell’s bio and health-related majors thoroughly, as you’ll need to explain why you want to be in one program above the others</p>

<p>Definitely in at UofA and BYU. I know nothing about U of M (are you in-state?). Cornell and JHU are a reach, but they are for everyone, and you should definitely apply. Purdue and Tulane seem to be matches.</p>
