Community College transfer.

I just started community college and I would like to know what i need to do to transfer to an ivy league school if possible. I have read some success stories in this websites. I am very new to college environment so, I also want to know some good undergraduate business school. I just want to transfer to a good school. I really don't want to spend time in community college. Any advice or help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Transferring to an Ivy League college specifically may be difficult. Princeton takes no transfer students at all. Several others, such as Yale and Harvard, take very few transfers, so that gaining transfer admission is actually harder than gaining freshman admission. Cornell does take a fair number of transfers, I think; Cornell can do that because its undergraduate population is much larger than that of most other Ivies.

All that having been said, your first step should be to visit a transfer advisor at your community college. This is a person whose job is to help students plan a successful transition from community college to a four-year college or university. Most of the time, students will be interested in transferring to their state flagship or some other public university, but it is not uncommon for community college students to apply to selective privates or out-of-state publics, either. They’ll know what you need to do.

Also because C has transfer agreements with certain schools, so their transfer numbers for applicants not coming from these specific schools is much lower than it appears.

It would probably be helpful to do some homework on the college websites to see which schools offer what you want rather than focusing on sports conferences; only 2 of the 8 IL schools have UG business majors.
