@contenttill311 I’m not, because for all the universities I’m applying to (like UCs and CSUs, a few privates) they don’t require ACT submissions.
Depends on the school, for more prestigious colleges they require you to send in SAT or ACT, so if you feel like it would help your application then go for it. However, when I talk to counselors and admissions officers over the phone or via email, they say that the main thing they look for in community college transfers is GPA followed by extracurriculars and then essays.
@contenttill311 not sure yet since sending an individual act score report to so many schools cost quite a bit of money… im transferring as a junior as well so im dont think it’ll help much
Hey guys! I’m a late to this thread, but…:
School: FRCC
Hopeful major once I transfer: Psychology
GPA: graduated with my AA with a 3.93
EC this semester: President of my school’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, volunteering to help underprivileged kids
Applying to: Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, University of Colorado Boulder, and University of Northern Colorado
And I applied to be an incoming junior. I’m afraid I’ll be holding my breath for the next couple months till decisions are released. I’m trying not to, but it just might happen. I’ve already gotten my associates (Fall 2018) so I HAVE to transfer for the fall semester, I can’t do any more at my community college (I’m finishing this semester with a total of 71 credits). I wish the best to all of you!
Just a quick update since I have been hearing back from a lot of different places these past few weeks

Applying to NYU Steinhardt for music business
Here’s where my app takes a major hit, though…
I experienced some pretty serious issues within my home while attending high school which resulted in a poor HS performance. At times, I wasn’t even allowed to work on my studies. I graduated with a 2.0 GPA and my SAT score is 1020… (I’m honestly so embarrassed about those stats). However, I did explain within one of my essays the circumstances I was presented with
@thispersonsthat I’m not a 100% sure about NYU but every uni I’ve applied to hasn’t cared about my HS stats (Except USC). If you have over 60 units completed your high school stats are almost meaningless. Maybe it is different for private schools but all the UCs think that way. If you are worried about your HS stats you can always apply to public schools!
@hillarydufflebag I applied to Syracuse as a transfer into the Maxwell School and got my acceptance letter with a merit award on March 27th. I am still waiting for:
