Well, this is my situation and I want you to give me your opinion.
I came to the US year and a half ago. I have done pretty well in HS although English is not my native language. I got accepted into Rutgers University here in Jersey. However, I am freaking scare of go there and simply screw. I mean, it is a big and relatively (looking at CC) expensive school. I am not afraid of taking loans. But I am afraid of getting there and fail, lossing time and loads of money. On the other hand, many people has told me that the environment in a CC is not the best, with all this people that got rejected form other schools that has no idea of what they are doing... Also, I feel that is a kind of sad that going to a CC all my grades from HS are going to the trash can. I mean, they won't have any paper value anymore. (cuz' I know what i've learn, but anyway I always tried to keep nice grades looking forward to college admission) Should I take the shot at the state school, or I better start out at a CC? Also, how hard is to transfer from a CC to a 4-yrs college? I've listened that is not very easy, that they ask you for a super high gpa. And that is very difficult to transfer... then, what should I do?
