i have a choice to either be the president of a small community service club (unity) or the treasurer of a larger one (interact) at my school next year...which one should i pick? the events are about the same

both... im running for NHS historian and SHS prez

Yeah, why only one? I'm an officer in four clubs right now, and they don't conflict or create mass chaos in my life. I think 2 would be manageable.

You should join KEY Club... bahahah. :] I'd say that you should go for president, because if you try to do both, there's no way you can give them both the attention they deserve (since they're both community service clubs). As president, you can do HUGE things. It's really about what you make of the job, not the size of the club. Of course KEY Club rocks more than both of them (lol KEY Club president here ;D).

do yall have business professional of america?
its like an NHS but members have the opportunity to compete in business related competitions on the state and national level.

Business Professional of America? I've heard of FBLA and DECA, but not that.

The OP might have a limitation at his/her school (only one office per person). That's how it is at my school.

Whatever club you feel more inclined to join or lead. What is the point of leading a club you hate when you can lead one that you enjoy?

Probably being president of a club would be better because you'd have more control over the events. Just because the club did certain events last year doesn't mean that it will do the same events the next year. If a president had vision and organizational skills, the president could expand events or add new events with more impact.

Being a president shouldn't be simply continuing the same old things, but adding new activities and directions based on your ideas and the concerns in your community.

What impresses colleges most is not one's title, but what one accomplished in a position.
