1) I've done 20 hours per year in one activity from 9-11th grade. I enjoyed the activity a lot and love service in general but have focused on other things during high school. My question: Should I put down the hours on my application?
Quantity-wise, it's nothing. But I actually did do it b/c I wanted to make the effort to do something giving back to my community, no matter how small. And I did gain from it. But I don't ever explain what I learned, etc. in my application.

Question 2: One of my scholarship apps stresses service in a general sense. Could there be multiple interpretations to this? Or should I not apply if I don't have 100000000 specifically logged hours in the more widely accepted meaning of the term?
I was thinking "service" as in could possibly apply to what you have given back to your school, etc. generally, like if you are known for creating a club that improved the atmosphere of your school or something. (The app equally stresses leadership, responsibility, creativity, etc.)
