how do i get from south station to northeastern the easiest?
last time i visited i was near boston university and i took a 'red line' but that took me a half hour walk from neu to commonwealth or whatever avenue that is...
i noticed there was a RUGGLES when I was on the neu campus, and so... how do i get from south station to northeastern and back etc...

There are two way to get to Northeastern from South Station via the subway:

Redline to Greenline:

Take the Redline (inbound) to Park Street station. When you get out of the train, proceed upstairs to the Greenline (outbound) area part of the station. Take the E-Line trolley (outbound) to the Northeastern stop. The whole trip should take about 20 minutes. Total cost would be $1.25 ($2.50 round trip)

Redline to Orangeline:

Take the Redline (inbound) to Downtown Crossing. When you get out of the train, proceed upstairs to the Organge Line (outbound) part of the station. Take the Orangelline (outbound) to the Ruggles stop. The whole trip should take about 20 minutes. Total cost would be $1.25 ($2.50 round trip).
