Companies!

Why is there no Juliet Company during Plebe Summer? Does anyone know??

I'm in Golf, 13th here

hi dan :) glad you guys are changing that one

We're all looking forward to changing the patch, too...like I said, everybody in the company hated it.
NAPS06, the 21st Company detailers are all good dudes...they'll make sure to prepare you well for the AcYear. Good luck, and see you at reform.

So, companies go by letters in the summer and by numbers during the year? (I forgot how this works.)

Is our platoon during the summer going to become our company number during the year or something?

i emailed my regional director or officer (i forget their title) and they gave me my mail address.

i'm in Charlie company, 5th Platoon

We recieved my Son's Company assignment and platoon in the mail today. he is
G Company 14th Platoon.. Cobras according to another entry on this site. I guess that translates to 14th Co. in the fall. I hope others recieve their info today as well. For those already in Annapolis who don't know, maybe a neighbor or family member can check your mail.

5th Company Rocks! Good luck PenQuinz!

Whoever get's 14th is lucky, good company, good CO, good SEL.

That's good to hear. Thanks for the info

I second that the Surface Warfare Officer in 14th Company is a remarkable officer (former BC).

I'm in Charlie Company, 6th platoon!!! Isn't 5th company 6ths, sister company? Anyone knows about the jackalopes?
I heard the companies came in today. I called Admissions and they told me my alpha number and everything. Pretyty awesome. :)
It's crazy it's finally heree....

Yep, 5th and 6th Platoons are in Charlie...I know 5th Co. Cadre are going to awesome!

In response to why isn't there a Juliet company. You will find that in almost anything in the us military there is no Juliet. Juliet was Custer's company and because of what happened there is no more Juliet.

Thanks fergsonfire - I was wondering if that question had slipped thru the cracks. Appreciate the info.

Hope you're enjoying your summer - how does it feel to be "in the fleet" (assuming you've gotten shipboard duty) as a MIDN instead of as an enlisted sailor? (I seem to reacall that you came in from the fleet after much effort - is that right?).

Actually I didn't do a summer cruise because of being prior enlisted. When mids go on cruises their running mates are e-4's. They decided it probably wasn't best for their wallet to send an e-5 who was deployed twice on a summer cruise to experience his job. So instead I have been doing summer school and getting far enough ahead to almost not have a firstie year. And yes it took me 6 applications to get here, 5 failed, 1 accepted. Which is funny because a kid from my division on the boat is here as a plebe. By the way there were 5 people in that division. What are the odds??

Fergson, were you an Electrician's Mate? And by boat, I assume you mean Sub?

Nope, ET2 and yes I do mean sub. The good ship Louisiana.
