Comparable in many ways to Tennessee?

We’ve taken D21 on college visits this past year whenever we are in a position to be near a school (so traveling for sports and vacations) and she has started to narrow in on what she likes and dislikes so we can get more deliberate with future school tours. We would like her to remain within driving distance so mostly Midwest area. We are also Hokies, and while we would love for her to be too, they don’t offer much aid for out of state so that is unlikely. Thus far, Tennessee has come closest to being the best option for her. She really loves their school pride, the athletics, large central student center, the school color throughout the bright campus, and the overall homogenous look (the red brick buildings, the campus contained within the borders of its buildings, even the off campus housing was focused in one direction). She loves that they have club sports, as she is not ready to hang up her cleats quite yet. The size was on her upper end of her comfort range but not too small either. The biggest issue with Tennessee is that their general science buildings are amongst their oldest and strongly lacking in technology (and light) and she would be spending most of her time there of course. They also only offer her current interest area (neuro) in a minor within a Psychology degree, which is not ideal for her possible next step pursuits. So I’m wondering if I can pick your brains for schools you feel are similar to what she likes about Tennessee but has more to offer her in the sciences. Duke and Notre Dame would be more ideal but are not financially feasible even in the unlikely chance of acceptance (3.9 unweighted/4.3 weighted, AP/Honors rigor, hasn’t taken standardized tests yet but was in 96th percentile on practice PSAT, strong EC’s). Thank you!
