Comparison between the 2 collegeboard SAT I prep books

<p>I am aware that there are 2 different CollegeBoard prep books for the SAT Reasioning.
One is "The Official SAT Study Guide For the New SAT" which has 8 practice tests with no explanations.
The other is "10 Real SATs" which i'm assuming has 10 practice tests.</p>

<p>Does the second book have answers AND explanations?
Do the practice tests for the two books overlap?</p>

<p>10 Real SAT's is for the pre 2005 exam. I've heard a lot of the practice material from it is recycled in the Official Guide. The 10 Real SAT's is fine to practice from, but you'll need to ignore the analogies in the CR section and the quantitative comparisons in the math.</p>
